Customer photo review of 4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

Long-Lasting Abrasive Cutoff Wheels at a Good Price These are good-quality abrasive cutoff wheels and they noticeably outlast the cheaper wheels I've used. They cut cleanly and hold up well for general steel cutting and fabrication work. That said, there's an interesting value comparison here. For roughly the same price as a 25-pack of conventional abrasive wheels, I can buy a single steel-bodied, diamond-tipped cutoff wheel in the same size. The diamond wheel produces considerably less mess and can last many times longer while maintaining its full diameter instead of gradually shrinking as an abrasive wheel wears down. For welding and fabrication, metal preparation is a huge part of the job, so having a good cutoff wheel matters. These are a good value if you want a supply of conventional abrasive wheels, and they perform better than inexpensive alternatives I've used. Personally, though, if the prices are comparable, I'd rather buy one quality diamond wheel than another 25 abrasive wheels.

Customer photo review of 4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

I tested one of these ceramic cut-off wheels on a few 1/2-inch anchor bolts. It cut quickly and smoothly. The wheel still looks brand new. I haven't had a chance to try them on stainless yet, but they obviously will last longer than the standard abrasive wheels I've been using. The price for this level of quality was fantastic -- over 30% cheaper than the big-name brand I've been buying. Performance is very important when trying to follow a line or work in tight spaces. Fighting against a slow-cutting wheel can make it hard to guide, or even cause the wheel to explode due to twisting forces. The speed and smoothness of the cutting operation with these wheels saves time and helps me feel safer. (I have also had very good luck with EZARC flap discs and pruning blades. I'm beginning to really like the brand.)

Customer photo review of 4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

Dropped a 4.5 disc on the 7/8 arbor. Sat flat. No wobble, so stability on the spindle was fine. First cut was a stainless pipe nipple in the vise. Sharpness showed up right away. Wheel bit instead of skating. Cutting performance stayed clean. Kerf was narrow. Less blue on the face than the thick brown discs I had been burning up. Quality of the ceramic grit held through a few tube cuts before the disc felt smaller and slower. Durability is better than the cheap hardware-store pack, not endless if you twist it in the slot. Rim will chip if the cut binds. Keep the grinder in line. After that I cut a short piece of angle for a bracket. Same bite. Burr was small enough a file finished it. Twenty-five in the sleeve. Value for money is the pack price versus grabbing name-brand discs two at a time when one wears out mid-job. Guard still clears the depressed center.

4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

Customer photo review of 4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

Seems like a great pack of wheels. They're packed tight in a single stack without a lot of extra wrappers or anything, pretty much ready to use once you open them the first time. They are nice and thin but feel just as sturdy. Course always wise to be careful/prepared, but didn't seem like any instability and pretty forgiving to use. Fit perfect on my grinder of course. Tested them mainly on aluminum so far which maybe wasn't the fairest test but they did fine there too without too bad of clogging. Maybe had to press a little more than just letting the speed do the work. With the thin kerf on these I think they'll be pretty versatile. They seem long-lasting in that I didn't lose any appreciable diameter at all with my initial cuts.

4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

Customer photo review of 4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

These ceramic cutoff wheels work great. They cut great, even on tougher materials like stainless steel. Also, I really like the narrow kerf that makes for faster cuts with less effort. And the wheels have held up well, too. I have yet to have one snap off, even when I've been rougher than I should. The cutoff wheels are versatile, and have got a workout on some steel pipe and diamond plate. But, they're gotten the most use just cutting off oversized bolts. I use a lot of stainless steel bolts, so it's really handy having a good blade hooked up in the grinder to quickly knock the bolts down to size. So, overall, at a price of around $1 per disc, these seem like a good value.

4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

These cut-off wheels deliver impressive performance right out of the box. When working on projects involving both stainless steel and standard carbon steel, the discs sliced right through the material like butter. The cuts are fast, clean, and require very little downward pressure to keep moving forward. Because they have an ultra-thin profile, they produce minimal kerf loss and generate less heat than standard thicker discs. As with any thin cutting disc, you need to let the tool do the work and keep your angle straight to avoid binding or uneven wear, but they hold their shape remarkably well under normal use. Overall, having a 25-pack provides great utility for anyone doing metal fabrication or regular workshop cutoff tasks. They make quick work of tough metals without bogging down the angle grinder.

4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

I've been using these on general metal cutting jobs with a 4.5" angle grinder, and so far they're holding up as well as any other cut-off wheel I've used. I haven't had them long enough to fully judge long-term durability, so I can't speak to that with full confidence yet, but nothing so far suggests they wear down any faster than other ceramic or standard cut-off wheels I've run. Cutting speed is genuinely very good — they bite in quickly and get through material without a lot of bogging down or excess heat buildup that I've noticed with some cheaper wheels. For comparison, I also use Lenox Segmented Rim Diamond Cutting Wheels, and to be fair, those do cut a bit better and last longer overall. But that comparison only tells half the story once you factor in price. The Lenox wheels run around $20 each, while these EZARC wheels work out to roughly $1 a wheel. When you consider that, the performance gap is pretty easy to live with — these get the job done well without the punch to your wallet every time you burn through a wheel. It would actually be interesting to run the numbers on how many of these I go through compared to a single Lenox diamond wheel over the same amount of cutting — that's the real way to judge which option is more cost-effective long term, and it's something I may track going forward. For now, my setup is going to be keeping the Lenox diamond wheel dedicated to the grinder I use strictly for cutting, and using these EZARC wheels in the grinder I swap between flap discs and polishing pads. That way I'm not constantly changing wheels on my main cutting grinder, and these get used where convenience matters more than squeezing out max wheel life.

4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

Here's the revised version: --- These cutoff wheels have worked well for general metal cutting and fabrication, handling both carbon steel and stainless without much fuss. They cut quickly and cleanly, biting into material fast without a lot of bogging down or heat buildup. The thin profile keeps kerf loss to a minimum. It helps to keep a steady angle and let the tool do the work rather than forcing it, but they've held up fine through regular use. Where these really stand out is value. They noticeably outlast cheaper conventional wheels, and compared to name-brand options they cost a lot less while still performing close to the same level. Diamond-tipped cutoff wheels will cut faster and last longer, and they hold their diameter instead of gradually shrinking down like an abrasive wheel does. But a single diamond wheel can run 15 to 20 times the price of one of these, so for most everyday cutting jobs that gap in performance is easy to accept. If you're doing regular fabrication or DIY work, this pack is worth having around. A premium diamond wheel still makes sense if you're running one grinder dedicated to heavy, high-volume cutting, but for day-to-day use these get the job done at a price that doesn't sting when you burn through a few. And if you're familiar with Project Farm's reviews, you know this brand beat all the others for multi-tool carbide blade performance in every single category. I'm not sure if their cut-off wheels are as good, but they feel very solid and are a great value.

4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

I've been very impressed with how well and how fast these cut. I typically buy cut-off wheels that are 1/16" thick and these are 25% thinner. That thinner cut really makes a difference when cutting something hard. We had great luck cutting some 1/4" 316 stainless with these with no burning or discoloration while still getting some decent cutting speed. They do wear a little more quickly than some of the thicker wheels, but not so appreciably more that it impacted our work. As you'd expect, they fit our angle grinders and we had great luck with our 60v DeWalt grinder which did eat up these disks pretty quickly, but they're such a good value that it didn't feel like an issue if we had to throw a new one on. They seemed pretty durable and I was concerned that they might shatter if pushed too hard, but we never had any issues with that. These won't replace my standard thicker cut-off wheels, but I'll certainly buy these again.

4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

SOLID These are 4.5-inch ceramic cut-off wheels with a very thin 0.045-inch profile, which is exactly what I want when the goal is cutting metal rather than grinding half of it away. The thin kerf helps them move through steel and stainless with less material removal, and the ceramic abrasive is intended for tougher metals including stainless, titanium, steel, and other alloys. Getting 25 wheels in the box is also practical if you actually fabricate or repair things regularly. Cut-off wheels are consumables, and I'd rather have a stack ready than discover I sacrificed my last one halfway through a job. SUSPECT EZARC advertises up to 2X cutting efficiency and 3X service life, but those numbers are going to depend heavily on the material, grinder, pressure, and how the wheel is used. I wouldn't expect every application to magically triple disc life. And because these are ultra-thin cut-off wheels, don't treat them like grinding discs. Side-loading or twisting a thin wheel in the cut is a good way to turn your convenient 25-pack into a high-speed ceramic confetti experiment. EXPERIENCE I use grinders around equipment and repair projects often enough that I've developed a strong appreciation for a good cut-off wheel. A thin wheel makes a noticeable difference when you're trying to make a clean cut without spending forever throwing sparks at a piece of steel. These feel well suited for brackets, bolts, tubing, sheet metal, and the hundred other situations where the grinder becomes the universal problem-solving tool. I also like buying them in a 25-pack because cut-off wheels have a mysterious ability to disappear precisely when you've already crawled underneath something. Having another 24 nearby solves that problem. VERDICT A useful bulk pack of thin ceramic cut-off wheels for anyone regularly cutting steel, stainless, and other metals with a 4.5-inch grinder. The 0.045-inch profile is fast and efficient, while the 25-pack makes considerably more sense for regular shop use than buying discs a couple at a time. PRO TIP Let the wheel do the cutting. Keep it straight in the kerf and use steady pressure rather than leaning your entire ancestry into the grinder. Thin cut-off wheels cut beautifully when used correctly and become considerably less friendly when they're twisted or side-loaded.

4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

These EZARC 4.5 inch ceramic cut off wheels have worked well for fabrication where a thin wheel and a controlled cut are more important than simply grinding through material as aggressively as possible. The 0.045 inch thickness is a good fit for a 4.5 inch angle grinder, and the 7/8 inch arbor seated properly without needing an adapter. They are also rated to 13,300 RPM, which covers the typical speed range of this size grinder. Used on stainless flat stock and mild steel tubing, the wheel entered the metal quickly without needing much pressure. On stainless, keeping the grinder moving produced a narrow kerf with relatively little discoloration along the cut. Cutting steel tubing was also quick, and the wheel held its shape well instead of getting dramatically smaller after only a handful of cuts. The ceramic abrasive seems particularly well suited to repeated cuts where ordinary aluminum oxide cutoff discs can start feeling slower as the abrasive wears. The 0.045 inch profile is thin enough that there is less material to remove, so cuts go faster and create less cleanup afterward. It is still a thin cutoff wheel, though, so sideways pressure needs to be avoided. These are made for cutting straight through material, not twisting the grinder to widen a slot or using the side of the wheel for deburring. Performance sits closer to the better ceramic cutoff wheels than the basic general purpose resin discs commonly sold in bulk packs. Standard wheels can work fine for occasional mild steel cuts, but these stay more consistent during repeated cutting and are especially useful on stainless, where heat buildup and wheel wear become more apparent. A 25 pack also makes sense for a fabrication shop since cutoff wheels are consumables and it avoids constantly opening smaller five or ten disc packages. At roughly a dollar per wheel at the price shown, the pack offers strong value if they are being used regularly. The benefit is less about getting 25 disposable discs and more about getting a thin ceramic wheel that cuts quickly enough that fewer discs are consumed during a larger fabrication job. **Pros:** * Ceramic abrasive cuts stainless and mild steel quickly * Thin 0.045 inch profile leaves a narrow kerf * Holds diameter well through repeated cuts * Cuts with relatively little pressure * 25 pack is convenient for regular shop use * 7/8 inch arbor fits standard 4.5 inch grinders * Rated up to 13,300 RPM **Cons:** * Thin wheels still require careful, straight cutting technique * Not intended for side grinding or deburring * Overkill for someone who only makes an occasional light cut Overall, these are a solid step up from basic general purpose cutoff discs for regular metal fabrication. The combination of fast cutting, controlled kerf width, and good wheel life makes the 25 pack especially useful when working through multiple pieces of stainless or steel in one session.

4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

I've been fortunate enough to be able review several EZARC products over the last several months and they've yet to let me down. These cutoff wheels are no exception. The Ceramic abrasive does seem to last longer and cut better than conventional blades, though I can't actually quantify a 2x or 3x claim. They don't wear down quite as quickly and the seem to resist overheating and glazing over. The thin kerf likely helps with this a lot, as it feels more like an actual cut instead of a thicker disc which feels like you're just trying to grind a slot. Minimal heat discoloration on my cuts as well. Most of my grinder work is on-site mechanical where I need to make a quick bracket or brace, so a lot of times I'm rough-chopping angle iron, flat or round stock, or small pieces of plate. these discs have proved champs at my common tasks, and there's a lot less cleaning up of burrs and rough edges compared to my old discs.

4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

These EZARC cut-off wheels worked great in my 18v Ryobi angle grinder. While I didn't need to cut any stainless steel on my current project, I did have to cut through and remove some "abandoned" electrical conduit, copper tubing, galvanized pipe and several pieces of 3/8ths" galvanized steel rod. I was able to get in close to the surface that some of the material that these items were penetrating and cut them off nearly flush. It worked much better that Plan B, which involved a reciprocating saw or metal cutting multi-tool and grinding wheel or flap wheel. Not that it's a big selling point, but I even used the disk to "whittle" away some wood that was in my way. 😉 Very handy addition to my tool collection and I look forward to trying them out on some paver blocks next. Reasonably priced and they hold up well!

4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

There are two types of these grinder cut off wheels. These are designed for cutting metal. The other type is for cutting ceramic and concrete. These are thin wheels. They fit 4-1/2 inch grinders perfectly. The quality is good. They spin true.No wobble or chatter. If you looking to cut metal these are a great value.

4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

These ceramic cut-off wheels cut noticeably faster than the basic abrasive wheels I normally associate with metal cutting. I used the EZARC wheels with a 4.5-inch angle grinder, and the thin 0.045-inch profile moves through metal quickly without requiring a lot of pressure. The narrow kerf also produces a cleaner cut with less material removal, which is useful when accuracy matters. The ceramic abrasive is the biggest advantage of these wheels. I used them on steel and found that they continued cutting effectively as the wheel wore rather than quickly becoming dull. The micro-fracturing ceramic grain exposes new cutting edges during use, and the thin design helps limit heat buildup and reduces the amount of burr left behind. They are suitable for stainless steel, titanium alloys, structural steel, bar stock, and metal pipe, giving them good versatility for fabrication and repair work. Fit is standard for a 4.5-inch angle grinder with a 7/8-inch arbor, and the wheels are rated for speeds up to 13,300 RPM. The reinforced construction feels stable during cutting despite how thin the discs are, and the longer wear means fewer interruptions to replace wheels during larger jobs. With 25 discs in the package, good cutting speed, clean performance, broad metal compatibility, and impressive durability, I think these provide very good value for the money.cut

4.5" Ceramic Cut-Off Wheels 25-Pack for Stainless Steel, Titanium, Steel & Alloys

I ordered these EZARC 4.5" Ceramic Cutoff Wheels to see how they compared to the ceramic cutoff wheels I have been using for several years. I specifically use 4.5" on the cordless angle grinders, and have found that in most instances, Ceramic is worth the extra cost in my opinion. I have had good luck with other EZARC products recently, and these EZARC Ceramic disks are no exception. They are performing as well as the other brand I use, but for less than half the cost. The thin kerf width and Ceramic composition make them versatile for many cutting applications. So far, I have used them on mild steel and some stainless steel, and they are more durable than standard cutoff wheels. These appear to be well constructed, but it is recommended that you follow standard safety protocol when using them, eg: safety guard in place, eye protection, do not use as grinding stone, etc. For the current price of these being at just under $1/ea, they are a great value, and I will absolutely be purchasing more.
