Excellent work on my car and my new 1/4 driver. Love the case with the metal latch and hinge pin. Getting the items in and out of the case was tough. I had to slide the pieces back in, extremely snug. So glad I purchased this set.
Great kit and quality for the price! Impressive magnet strength holds bolts and screws in place well during use. Case compact enough to fit in a tool kit or backpack for easy carrying anywhere you need. Quick connects make it easy to use. Sturdy and solid metal..
Case is solid, bits look good. Covers 5-14mm, 3/16-9/16, plus all of the miscellaneous bits, extensions, etc. the included 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2'' adapters should come in handy as well.
Supposedly impact rated with good fit and finish. I have not tried out the impact claims though did use them in cordless drivers with no issues. This has most of the common sizes in a well organized plastic case.
I like the convenience of reaching for a case that I know has the right size bit and just about anything else that will work in a 1/4 inch chuck. It's a quick one grab 54 piece assortment of nut drivers, socket adapters, extension bit holders, screw driver bits and some extensions and adapters you wish you had.
That's all good, the only thing I like less is that it's a little annoying to easily remove the smaller pieces from the tight grip of the case. This set has the convenience and will definitely help you keep your patience. It's a solid value and worth the $40.
We recently moved into a camper and I needed a good, compact bit sit since we are limited on space. This is perfect offering you a great variety of different bits, nut drivers, etc... in a small compact plastic carrying case. The case is very well made and each of the bits fits well into the carrying case. There are descriptions on each bit and the case to identify them well. They seem to be well made and should last a long time. The 1/4'' shaft will fit in the majority of drills. This is a good set at a good value!
The case is sturdy, the latch is metal, hinge has metal in it, bits are labled and so their corresponding pkaces in the case. This is how work gets done, happy worker, gets the case, and all the bits are there. You get the job done and put things back in their right place. No searching, no frustration. The only suggestion for future improvement would be bit holders with slimmer heads, makes getting into corner spots easier.
My first reaction when I opened the box with this set was, ''Wow!''
Every space is labeled, and each piece is clearly marked in white type on the black metal. No squinting to see what you're looking for.
The ONE improvement I would recommend is getting a piece of rubber mesh drawer/shelf liner and cutting it to fit into the case for this set. I figured this out when the soft foam sheet in my Craftsman socket set finally disintegrated.
The rubber-like mesh is actually an upgrade. It keeps any stray bits that come loose to stay in place when the case opens. Or, at least not to fall down under the other bits underneath the liner. (See pictures)
Just about any socket, or bit you need; plus some that I'd never known were available. (I'd made my own wing nut driver 40 years ago from a piece of metal tubing. It worked better tan nothing, but it had it's limitations.)
Unitl just recently; my most complete set of nut drivers and bits came as part of a 100+ piece set of Black & Decker bits that I got in a big box store over 30 yeas ago. The individual sockets were very basic, non-magnetic, uncoated, with short shafts. The bits were also very short, uncoated, and only in the most common sizes. Everything was stamped tih the size in very small type that was hard to read. If there had been a better set before now; I'd have replaced them all a long time ago.
I also had a few DeWalt branded sockets, and adapters for 1/4, and 5/16 inch nuts. Plus, the DeWalt socket adapters for 1/4, and 1/2 inch drives. A few of those were better than the B&D quality, but most were about the same. The bits are much better; but not a lot of variety per DeWalt sets.
When it came to the metric jobs where a nut driver was need; I used my Craftsman sockets with drill adapters. Still non-magnetic, and a little more effort to use than a dedicated driver.
I did eventually get a better 21 piece set of SAE - Metric nut drivers that really made a difference. That one sells for $10 less than this all inclusive 54 piece set. And, they included a way to contact the company directly for help if needed right on the back of the box.
I don't have unlimited space; so the smaller set will have to go. Along with the last of the short cheap screw driver bits that I recently wire brushed all of the rust off of.
Take it from me; this is a better deal for drivers, and bits; than trying to get them separately in smaller sets.
Haven’t used but the set appears to have everything I’ll need and expected. I’m older and not IT person so can’t post picture or video but I’ll take the coupons! LOL
Amazing selection of bits. All high quality and sizes are written clearly in white against the black bits. Great quality and variety of bits for the money compared to what you get for the big name brands at the same cost with only a fraction of the bits.
These things surprise me. I did not know what to expect from an unknown brand. these things are durable and they fit the fastener. I used one of the philips bits to remove a few hundred rusty deck screws and it performed flawlessly; I also used it to install about 50 new deck crews and again it performed perfectly. The bits I have used show little to no ware I have also used one of the nut driver bits and it fit the bolt nicely.
I'm going to buy a set for my brother.
Complete quality. The case is sturdy with a metal latch. Love the magnetic sockets. My only suggestion to Libraton would be to add a handle to the case. If that happens, I hope Libraton contacts me about replacing my case.
